As a result of La Sierra’s literacy program, many of the children are now going to school! In April of 2023, Olvin visited the school where they attend and was surprised to find that the children do not have recess. On Olvin’s initiative, we went to the school to do two activities with the children – we brought songs, games, dynamics and a Bible lesson. A nice surprise was we saw that there are 140 children from the community of Pueblo Viejo and they all participated in the activities. We really had a good time and the school director asked us to come more often to do these programs with the children. This is how the El Recreo program was born, through the initiative to show the love of Christ to the children of the community in a creative and dynamic way.
